Goldsworthy-Davey Family Fund
Allana Goldsworthy and Paul Davey are honoured and privileged to have a named fund with the Geelong Community Foundation.
Allana is a Barrister, and Paul a General Practitioner. They have lived in Geelong for almost 40 years. Their three children were all schooled in Geelong, and have returned to live in Geelong with their partners and families.
After many years of contributing in other ways to the Geelong community, by way of community service, and engagement and involvement with other community organisations, it was a natural progression to consider leaving a legacy to the region.
The decision to contribute to the Geelong Community Foundation was an easy one. It’s as easy as One Two Three.
Firstly, the organisation fits the criteria for collective giving creating powerful results. Our fund joins others to provide a large corpus that can achieve so much more, in perpetuity.
Secondly, the Foundation was borne out of the genuine and honourable efforts of a few local people taking active steps to provide an avenue for people such as ourselves to participate. We are confident that our fund is well managed, and it is rewarding to see the many various recipients each year.
Thirdly, it creates a fund that, into the future, our family can contribute to as well. Teaching our children about philanthropy in a practical way.
We commend the Geelong Community Foundation and endorse it’s wonderful work.
