In July, Year 6 students at Northern Bay College are invited to apply for a three-stage process. This begins with a written application, then a number of applicants are shortlisted for interview after which scholarships are awarded.
The Scholarship commences when Year 7 and 8 studies begin. It aims to assist students as they progress towards the Goldsworthy Years 9-12 Campus, guiding them as they work towards completing Year 12 and preparing for life beyond secondary school.
The 2023-24 Year 7 & 8 Scholarships are tailored for each scholar and the scholarship pillar, providing benefits at the College to the value of approximately $4,000.
• Scholars, with support of a parent/carer, meet with the College to identify the areas of support that would assist them the most.
• The support aims to provide access to opportunities and resources that can include:
– Materials and support to enhance potential. E.g. specialist equipment, books, and materials.
– Specialised development opportunities. E.g. leadership development, public speaking, coaching/mentoring/tutoring, accelerated learning, guest speakers, conditioning programs and excursions.
– Membership / Registration support up to $200 per year.
