2022 Grants
Directors of the Geelong Community Foundation approved $1,260,000 in grants for 2022/23 to community organisations supporting people in the greater Geelong Region.
Grant allocations for 2022/23 are provided/calculated based on funds raised to 30 June 2021.
This year, members of the Grants Committee reviewed more than 85 applications seeking over $3m. The Foundation approved 61 grants for a diverse range of programs. This year the Foundation is very pleased to award its first grant for the new focus area of “Environment”.
Applications were prioritised with a focus on the “needs” of the community. This included: domestic violence, financial hardship, mental health, substance abuse, social inclusion, housing (social/affordable), migrant/refugees, education (keeping the kids at school), employment access and food security.
The Foundation has been making a difference in the Geelong region for the past 22 years, working to deliver long term sustainable change. Believing that smarter giving, results in a bigger impact, now and forever.
