Your fund will become part of the Foundation’s enduring legacy of “Giving Forever” — where the income generated from your gift will support local charities and community initiatives year after year. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of people across our region.

Geelong Community Open Fund Not tax-deductible. Commonly used for distributions from trusts, estates, and foundations.

Geelong Community Foundation Scholarship Fund (DGR1) Tax-deductible. Supports educational scholarships.

8. Acknowledgement

By signing below, I/we request the establishment of a Sub Fund within the Geelong Community Foundation. I/we acknowledge that:

All gifts become part of the Trust Fund of the Geelong Community Foundation Fund, the Geelong Community Open Fund or the Geelong Community Foundation Education Scholarship Fund and do not form a separate fund.
A management account (also referred to as a Sub Fund) will be maintained by the Trustee for the recording of gifts from the Donor and others.
Should the balance of the Sub Fund be less than $10,000 after three years, we will consult with you on whether you would like to make any further contributions to your Sub Fund or if existing donations will be transferred to the Foundation’s Community Fund.
The Foundation manages investments and grantmaking in line with its policies and vision.
The Trustee may amend the Sub Fund name if required by law or regulation.
The Foundation will only accept gifts that align with its mission and values.
