P500 Campaign For Newsletter

Our 2023 P500 Launch was held at the stunning Geelong Gallery in March where we experienced our largest ever attendance! From 90 donors in 2017 to more than 260 in 2022 and six worthy organisations funded, the power of the P500 Giving Circle is evident.

Guests were able to hear from last year’s grant recipient Wombat’s Wish, about the incredible work they are doing and the significant impact that our grant will have on our community. The $75,000 grant will allow the appointment of a psychologist to provide 1:1 counselling, group counselling and camp counselling to support children/young people who have suffered the loss of a parent. The psychologist will also redevelop the group counselling sessions, develop and research new program areas and introduce monthly facilitated sessions for families known as the parents lounge and kids lounge.

In 2023, our seventh year of P500, our target is 350 donors which will deliver a grant in excess of $87,000 and a contribution to the P500 Sub Fund. As at 30 June 2022 the Fund was valued at over $282,000 with interest earned on its investment being added to the grant amount annually.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the Geelong Gallery, Bellarine Estate, Sou-West Brewery, Tulip Restaurant and all of our other partners, collaborators and supporters, who allow us to put on great events while also keeping the costs low, to ensure that as many dollars as possible get to the people in our community who need them most.
