Each year, the Geelong Community Foundation invests in local people and organisations through grants and scholarships that support a more connected, fair and thriving connected community.
Our grantmaking and scholarship programs are guided by the issues identified through our Vital Signs research, helping direct support to where it is needed most across the Greater Geelong region.
Through the generosity of our donors, we support community organisations delivering vital services and help local students pursue education and career opportunities.
What We Fund
Our grants and scholarships support initiatives that respond to key challenges facing our community. Our work focuses on four priority areas:
Food & Emergency Support
Helping individuals and families access essential resources including food relief, material aid and homelessness support.
Health, Resilience & Connection
Supporting programs that strengthen mental and physical wellbeing and build stronger community connections.
Education & Employment
Helping people pursue education, training and pathways to meaningful employment. This includes scholarships that support local students.
Environment & Sustainability
Supporting initiatives that protect and strengthen our natural environment.

Community Grant Round
Our largest annual grant program supporting community organisations delivering projects aligned with our focus areas and responding to priority community needs.
P500 Grant Round
Powered by our collective giving circle, the P500 Grant Round brings donors together to select and fund a community project each year.
Adroit Capital Grant Round
This grant round supports capital projects that strengthen the capacity of community organisations. Funding is raised through the annual Adroit Insurance & Risk Golf Day.
Scholarships
Our scholarship program supports local students pursuing education and training opportunities. These scholarships help remove barriers to education and support young people to reach their potential.
