Geelong woman Margaret Cody has bequeathed close to $1m to the Geelong Community Foundation after she died more than a year ago.

In an article in the Geelong Advertiser on Saturday November 16, Page 3, Geelong Community Foundation executive officer Andrew Lawson said Margaret Cody’s bequest came as a very welcome surprise to the foundation.

“Margaret’s gift has put the capital fund of the GCF over $17 million now, so it is a major boost … for this region,” Mr Lawson said.
