Joined the Board in March 2018.
Carly is a strategic communications expert; she holds a Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) majoring in Media & Communications and is currently undertaking a Master of Communications majoring in Journalism. She is the owner of Geelong-based PR agency Circus Media as well as The Digital Athlete, a consultancy which aims to educate and empower athletes in using social media to build a resilient online profile and protect mental health. She also holds a Professional Certificate of Adolescent Counselling and is a certified Youth Mental Health First-Aider.
Carly is well-known in the Geelong community having developed strong relationships with the local media, industry leaders and the wider community through various business, leadership and community initiatives including pro-bono work.
She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Geelong Community Foundation as Marketing Chair, regularly presents to the Committee For Geelong Activate Leadership program, appears on various Deakin University career panels, and last year she presented at the Altitude Summit in Palm Springs, California on how PR has changed alongside the rise of social media.
