Now retired from a rewarding business and professional career, joining the Geelong Community Foundation as a Director, has provided me with an opportunity to support fellow Directors and Staff in the implementation of a strategic grant making policy in assisting not for profit and community groups.

Joined the Board in 2023 

Don is a retired Certified Practising Accountant and Commercial Real Estate Agent. 

Moving to Geelong from Melbourne in 1988 joined the local accountancy firm Davidsons where he became a partner in 1990. 

In 1995, Don commenced his own Accounting and Business Consultancy practice employing a number of professional staff members specializing in providing income tax advice to small and medium sized family businesses including a focus on strategic business planning and structuring. 

After selling his practice in 2003, Don changed his career path and joined Real Estate Agency, Maxwell Collins Real Estate becoming a Licenced Agents Representative focusing on Commercial Sales and Leasing until retiring in June 2022. 

Don has developed strong and trusted connections in the Geelong Business community and was President of the Geelong Business Club in 2011. 

Now enjoying retired life is remaining active with his wife Marisa in assisting the children in caring for 4 adorable grandchildren, golfing, bike riding, cooking and travel.
