Being able to give back to our community both personally and professionally is a privilege. Supporting the Geelong Community Foundation gives me a meaningful platform to do this, ensuring sustainable, and importantly, collective impact across our community.

Melinda is the Managing Director of Muirfield Financial Services, a Certified Financial Planner, and an Accredited Aged Care Specialist. She holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University. Since joining Muirfield in 2007, Melinda worked closely with founder Hayden Torney, playing a key role in ensuring a smooth transition of leadership following Hayden’s retirement in 2017. Under her guidance, the continued success of Muirfield Financial Services reflects her commitment to educating clients, strong leadership and passion in the support she provides to a dynamic and expanding team. Melinda has been actively involved in the Geelong Community Foundation’s Philanthropy 500 Committee, having contributed to its launch in 2016 and early years and recently rejoining the committee in 2025. She is a strong advocate for the vital role that charitable giving plays in strengthening the local Geelong community. 

Melinda is passionate about educating and empowering the community on financial matters and believes in making finance simple.
