2024 Grants

Directors of the Geelong Community Foundation approved $1,428,885 in grants for 2024/25 to community organisations supporting people in the greater Geelong Region.
Grant allocations for the 2024/25 financial year are provided based on funds raised to 30 June 2023.
85 applications were received in the 2024/25 Main Grant Round, seeking a total of $3.8m, this was the largest request on the Foundation to date and demonstrates the growing need in the community for support. In this round applications had an increased focus on activities that respond to the rising cost of living or that support physical and mental health and social connection.
The Foundation approved 41 new grants across the four grant streams of Food and Emergency Support, Health, Resilience and Connection, Education and Employment and Environment and Sustainability in the Main Grant Round.
In total 57 grants have been provided for 2024/25, including:
- 41 new grants, including five multi-year grants to Feed Me Bellarine, Geelong and Surf Coast, Geelong Food Relief Centre, Thread Together, Somebody’s Daughter and Cloverdale Community Centre auspice for the Real Deal Alliance)
- Two existing multi-year grants for Lazarus Community Centre and the Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre
- One collaborative grant to Meli for the Young Men’s Behaviour Program, in partnership with the Anthony Costa Foundation and Dawn Wade Foundation
- One emergency grant to Northern Futures
- Three P500 grants ($79,000 to Tiny Dots and $1,000 each to the Runners Up Cherished Pets and Making Waves); and
- Two grants for student support through the Gordon Scholarships and the Back to School Program.
