All gifts become part of the Trust Fund of the Geelong Community Foundation Fund, the Geelong Community Open Fund or the Geelong Community Foundation Education Scholarship Fund and do not form a separate fund.
A management account (also referred to as a Sub Fund) will be maintained by the Trustee for the recording of gifts from the Donor and others.
Should the balance of the Sub Fund be less than $10,000 after three years, we will consult with you on whether you would like to make any further contributions to your Sub Fund or if existing donations will be transferred to the Foundation’s Community Fund.

⛳ What an incredible day at the @adroitinsurance Charity Golf Day yesterday!
 Almost 200 golfers came together at @13thbeach for a day of good vibes, great food, and even greater generosity.

Together, the community raised $100,000 — with $75,000 supporting a new IT Hub at @culturaaustralia in North Geelong, and $25,000 invested into the Charity Golf Day Sub-Fund for future impact.

A heartfelt thank you to every golfer, donor, organisation, contributor and volunteer who made this possible. And to @adroitinsurance — your commitment and generosity continue to create extraordinary impact for our region. We’re so incredibly grateful for this partnership.

What a night for our P500 community! On Thursday

🌟 Congratulations to @empowermentchallenge — winner of the 2025 P500 Grant!

Last night, a full and buzzing Geelong West Town Hall came together for the annual P500 Pitch & Vote Night, where more than 200 collective donors showed the true power of generosity.

And when The Empowerment Challenge was announced as this year’s recipient… there was barely a dry eye in the room.

The Empowerment Challenge walks alongside some of the most vulnerable young mums in our region:
• 100% experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage
• 85% have experienced or are experiencing family violence
• 60%+ parenting alone with little or no support

Emily’s words, shared in the pitch, captured why this work matters so deeply:

✨ “I’m a mum of two, living in a world that constantly doubts me… He tells me I’m useless, I’m worthless — and I believe him. I’m terrified. Then my phone beeps: ‘Hi, this is Laura from The Empowerment Challenge.’ That was the day things changed — the day my life was saved, and my children’s future was put on a very different path.”

Thanks to our incredible P500 donors, The Empowerment Challenge will receive the $88,000 P500 grant, enabling them to open a permanent, five-day-a-week hub — a safe, stable and accessible space for young mums who need it most.

We are also proud to support our outstanding runners-up — @western_chances and @foundation61 — who each received a $5,000 grant. Their contribution to our community is vital, and we look forward to supporting their continued impact and future success.

A heartfelt thank you to the P500 Committee, whose dedication, advocacy and enthusiasm continue to shape P500 into the powerful collective-giving movement it is today — now in its ninth year.
