Your gift to support future generations of our community

When making your Will it is important to consider your family and other loved ones. There is also the opportunity to have a positive impact on the future of the Geelong region by leaving a gift for the community.

By including a lasting legacy to the Geelong Community Foundation in your Will, you can help shape life-changing programs that assist those with the greatest need. Our regular Foundation

grants, made possible by the generosity of donors, address key impact areas such as education, health, aged support, youth, community wellbeing and family support.

Gifts to the Geelong Community Foundation are held in trust by the Foundation under terms agreed by you. There are several options when giving: Your gift can be made during your lifetime as a one-off donation, over a period of time, or provided for in your Will as a bequest – or a combination of these options. Gifts made during a donor’s lifetime are tax deductible.

Funds are usually named after families, to honour individuals or to create memorials to persons of special significance to a donor. These ‘Named Funds’ are recorded annually in the Foundation’s Annual Report unless anonymity is requested.
