Wightons Lawyers Fund

Wightons Lawyers is one of the longest serving legal practices in Geelong, established in the 1890s when James Wighton first started practising law in the area. During the 1920s, James Wighton merged with the practice of Allan McDonald & the firm Wighton & McDonald was born. Wighton & McDonald remained as one of Geelong’s premier law practices until 2000, when they rebranded to “Wightons Lawyers”.

Wightons Lawyers has played a major role in the history of Geelong, dealing with various commercial & individual legal cases over the last century. Their experience & heritage has helped them to refine Wightons Lawyers into the practice it is today – a firm committed to offering a wide range of legal services that focuses on relationships & positive legal outcomes. With offices in Geelong, Corio, Winchelsea & Ocean Grove, they are certainly a part of the Geelong & wider community.

Wightons Lawyers & its Directors & Staff are involved with the Geelong community in many ways & the current Directors believed that a Fund with Geelong Community Foundation would be a good way to continue to support our local community. Through hard work & commitment, they are in the lucky position of being able to “give back” to where they live & this vehicle provides them with the ability to do so.
