Gennette Jewell

Gennette commenced at the Foundation as a Volunteer in 2017 before transitioning to the role of Administration Assistant in 2018, following a sea change to the Geelong region from Northeast Victoria.

Previously Gennette worked within the health sector in various roles, including 15 years as an Executive Assistant.

The Respect Starts Here program, a partnership between @thesafvcentre and @aflbarwon, is dedicated to progressing gender equality and respect within football and netball clubs across the Barwon region.

Together, these organisations are empowering clubs to foster inclusive and supportive environments where all members can thrive - both on and off the field.

We’re working towards this year being P500’s biggest yet and providing an $85,000+ grant to our community.

At the Geelong Community Foundation, we believe every child deserves the best possible school experience - regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

Thanks to the incredible support of Give Where You Live Foundation and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), we can do even more to help local students thrive.

Through these partnerships, Give Where You Live and FRRR have established fundraising accounts on our behalf, enabling us to receive donations for the School Voucher Program that wouldn’t otherwise be possible due to our fundraising status.

This allows us to purchase and distribute vouchers to schools, ensuring students in need have access to essential supplies throughout the school year.
