Adroit Golf Day Capital Grant 2023
Adroit Insurance & Risk will host its 20th Annual Charity Golf Day at 13th Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads on 2 March, 2023. The Adroit Insurance & Risk Charity Golf Day, of which the Foundation is a community partner, is one of the largest events in the Geelong fundraising calendar. Since its inception, the annual event has raised more than $1 million for local causes, and will have far-reaching benefits in our community for many years to come.
“The Adroit team are extremely proud of the partnership that we hold with the Geelong Community Foundation and the positive impact that our team, clients and supporters have contributed to in the Geelong community. I am delighted to see the projects that we have supported come to fruition and knowing that we have helped make the lives of some of the more vulnerable people in our community better. I am looking forward to the process of selecting a recipient for 2023 and encourage all community organisations to apply,” says Darrell Fenton, Adroit Insurance & Risk Managing Principal.
Expressions of interest for the 2023 Adroit Insurance & Risk Golf Day Capital Grant have closed. This is a $75,000 capital grant for a community organisation, which is paid to the successful applicant following the event in March 2023.
Here are some of the projects we’ve most recently supported:
- Bethany Community Support – assisting the development of the Men’s Family Violence Intervention Centre.
- Kids Plus Foundation – supporting the Outdoor Therapy and Play Space at their new location in Waurn Ponds.
- Gateways Support Services – assisting the renovation of their Edmill accommodation project in Belmont for young people with a disability.
- Geelong Youth Engagement – purchase of a bus to connect and support young people on their programs.
“The ability for the Foundation to provide local community organisations with a capital grant opportunity is quite unique, as is the partnership we have with Adroit that includes their staff in the decision-making process. Applications will be shortlisted and like our P500 grant program, these organisations pitch their program to staff, and they vote on their preferred organisation to receive the grant,” explains Gail Rodgers, CEO of the Geelong Community Foundation.
Organisations invited to apply for the grant have been notified and will need to complete their application by COB on Monday 3 October. Applications will be reviewed by a panel comprised of the Geelong Community Foundation’s Grants Committee and Adroit senior staff. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their funding requests to Adroit staff on 25 October. At this event, Adroit staff will vote for their preferred organisation and the successful recipient will be announced at the event.
