Introduction to Wilsons Advisory

Geelong Community Foundation welcomes Wilsons Advisory into its role as our new Portfolio Manager.

This follows an extensive selection and due-diligence process that reviewed over six independent proposals and interviewed three Managers for the position.

The appointment of Wilsons allows the Foundation to maintain a consistent and personal investment approach in asset allocation, investment selection, and cost control.

Wilsons has a proud 125 year history as an Australian market participant with an in-house team of 15 equity and Investment Strategy analysts.

Wilsons enjoys access to research provided by New Zealand affiliate Craig’s as well as international investment partners.

We welcome the team including:

Head of Investment Strategy David Cassidy David is one of Australia’s leading investment strategists having enjoyed more than 25 years of investment experience with UBS and JPMorgan.  David joined Wilsons in 2020 as Head of Investment Strategy, overseeing the development of Global and Domestic investment strategy.

Senior Investment Adviser Chris Taylor Chris grew up and has family in Belmont, attending Christian College followed by Deakin University. Chris has been with Wilsons since 2012.

Investment Adviser Peter Moran Peter has an extensive private client wealth background, joining Wilsons in 2006.

We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Michael Brown, Adam Blennerhassett and the team from JB Were who have managed the Foundation’s assets since 2001.

We have been very lucky to enjoy their expertise and we now look forward to introducing you to the Wilsons Advisory team.
