Freda & Graham Wright Fund

In 1970, Freda graduated from Cambridge University. She taught mathematics in the UK, NZ and Australia. In 1971, she met Graham, a carpet designer at Brintons Carpets UK, and emigrated to Geelong in 1977. Freda’s passion is education, working at Matthew Flinders GSC for 45 years in student welfare, student management and careers. After Graham’s death in 2014 from dementia, she became a Rotarian, serving as President and Secretary. She is passionate about changing the lives of young people by creating growth opportunities.

Freda believes that “more creates greater opportunities”, and sees the Geelong Community Foundation as an example of that, planning to assist in her retirement.
